Recent Vintage Finds...

I've been doing quite a bit of thrifting lately, and I think it only fair that I share a few of my fave finds...

Can you tell I like dresses?  I've worn a few of these already, my faves include paisley print, the blue shirt dress, the wrap dress, and the ah-ma-zing red Kasper button down dress which is extremely flattering when on.

I'm absolutely loving this print.  It could use a few alterations in the waist, but otherwise a perfect fit.  Great for the cooler weather with a waist belt and knee boots.

I'm loving this shirt/blazer/robe thingie that I got today.  You may not be able to tell, but it buttons in the front, ties at the waist, and has little birds, planets, and club prints all over.  How cute will this be with skinny jeans or tights and ankle boots?

Sorry, I don't know how to rotate the pic, and I don't have the patience to figure it out right now.  Anywho, this is an amazing shirt dress.  I wore it the other day with a skinny waist belt and pumps.  So many compliments!

Again, another amazing vintage dress.  This is a Kasper dress that fits perfectly, no alterations required.  The only thing, well things that need to be changed are the gaudy gold buttons and those big ass Dynasty shoulder pads simply must disappear.  After that, this dress will be perfect...

Dumbass camera...

My friggin' camera is broken.  I've been thinking about getting a new one for some time now, so perhaps this is a sign.  This would account for the lack of posts over the past month.  However, since I'm not uber rich (yet), I don't have tons of money to spend, I'll have to find a camera for a blogger on a budget.  Any suggestions?

First official outfit post...

Here's my first outfit post...

In this shot, I was trying to get a close up of my watch and bracelet, but I think it turned out to be a pretty adorable shot of my dog, Gus, who will probably be making a lot of appearances here...

Yes, I'm on the phone in this shot.  I was talking to my friend and she was making me laugh so hard I didn't want to put her on hold, so I just took the picture.  Her advice to me was to get my tubes tied asap, lol.

What I'm wearing:
Top: Theory
Jeans: Express
Shoes: none (that's why I didn't show my feet)
Earrings and Ring: Forever 21
Belt: Gap
Watch: Fossil
Bracelet: David Yurman

I'm about to head to the dog track, yes, the dog track with my parents and my brother.  We've been going the past three weeks, and we have a LOT of fun.  I remember my parents going all the time when we were younger, they would drop us off at the sitter, and talk about the dogs the rest of the night when they got back.  Well, now, all of us 'kids' are old enough to go, and I must say, I see why they had so much fun.  Its even more fun when you're winning...

Tooled leather clutch...

I've wanted a tooled leather bag for quite a while now, so imagine my delight when, while browsing my local thrift store, I discovered this beauty:

Although, I know a purse like this isn't gonna be up everyone's alley, I kind of love it.  I saw it on Saturday and originally passed it up, but couldn't stop thinking about it the rest of the weekend, and all day at work today, so I went back and made it mine.  Although I consider this a good find, it's not in the best shape.  The original strap hidden on the inside is actually torn apart, so the only way I can use it is as a clutch, which is just fine with me.  I'm already piecing together outfits in my head...

Shoes, shoes, shoes...

Okay, so one of the things that I do the most when I'm bored is look at shoes on the internet.  Lots and lots of shoes.  Mostly shoes that I can't afford, but hey, a girl can dream.  These are a few pairs that I'm currently lusting for from Yoox.com...

I kind of feel like I need these Givenchy wedges.  They're $225 down from $375, and for designer shoes, thats pretty much as good as free.  The only thing is that I'm used to wearing heels that are at least five inches tall, and according to the website, these are only 3.7 inches.  Wait, I don't have a spare $225 anyway...

This is a pair of gaw-geous nude colored Chloe sandals that are currently $165 down from $275.  Once again, they don't have the heel height that I'm used to, but they're just so dang pretty...

The final pair is from Marni.  I don't know why, but these shoes just speak to me.  I like them because they're somewhat unconventional, and I feel like they would force me to come up with lots of different outfits.  A source of inspiration, if you will.  These are $225 from $368...

So, umm, about this blogging thing...

As you can see, this is a spankin' new blog.  I'm new to this whole blogging thing, and I'm learning my way as I go.  I hope to have outfit posts and other pics up soon.  If there are any comments or suggestions (constructive of course), they are all welcome!
